Nala Has Got a Job

4.2

Nala's apartment was located near a small and cute pastry shop. The shop was situated in a small alley in the city center, with a colorful sign hanging at the door and adorned with elegant flowers. More than once, Nala had been attracted by the sweet fragrance wafting out of the shop.

One day, Nala saw an advertisement on the window of the shop. The shop is hiring.

Nala wanted to work part-time at this pastry shop during her free time from studying. This would be an opportunity not only to learn and practise but also to get some income. After an interview, Nala successfully accepted for the job.

On her first day at work, Nala arrived at the shop early. The decoration of the shop was bright and simple. The walls were decorated with hand-painted dessert patterns, and the counter displayed colorful pastries. Macarons, cream puffs, and cakes emanated tantalizing scents, making people feel comfortable and happy.

The shop's staff were warm and friendly. The shop owner prepared a small gift for Nala to welcome her. Nala opened the gift packaging and saw three handmade chocolates! They sparkled delicately under the warm light. Nala was touched by her colleagues' kindness and gentleness and treasured the gift by putting it in her own storage locker.

In the kitchen, Nala greeted the pastry chefs. They learned that Nala had come to France to study baking, and they warmly welcomed her to join the team and were willing to support her work.

A friendly girl told Nala that everyone was impressed with her interview. Although Nala's French was not fluent, she was passionate when introducing her work and ideas! The pastry chefs all hoped to work with her.

Nala was very fortunate to meet these partners. They shared the love for pastry making and did everything they could to improve their skills. Nala couldn't wait to put on her brand new chef's uniform, full of gratitude and anticipation for her new job.
