Sweet Christmas Innovations

4.2

After October, Nala's part-time pastry shop started planning their Christmas product line. Her colleagues gathered together to discuss their ideas.

"We could make a cupcake in the shape of Santa Claus," the head chef of the dessert shop suggested first. Nala liked the idea and imagined a cute and festive Santa made of fresh strawberry and whipped cream.

Then, the colleagues planned to make a chocolate in the shape of a Christmas tree, symbolizing peace and joy, as well as a nut cake decorated with colorful candies and snowflakes. Nala loved these creative ideas.

The team kindly encouraged Nala to share her own ideas. Suddenly, Nala had an inspiration and suggested making a chocolate that showcased Parisian characteristics, in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, decorated with Christmas wreaths and romantic flowers. Everyone praised Nala's idea as fantastic. Nala felt happy and fulfilled, feeling recognized and accepted by others.

Next came the discussion of the recipe and the making of the samples. Nala learned how to make chocolate with the head chef, starting from tempering the chocolate. Although Nala had taken a course on chocolate-making in school, tempering was still a big challenge for her. The head chef cheerfully told Nala that one of the secrets to tempering chocolate is to relax. "If the chocolate knows you're in a rush, the crystal formation won't be beautiful!"

Then, the head chef picked out some less attractive chocolates and asked Nala to reflect on what she could improve while eating them. Nala laughed and made a mental note to practice more and become friends with chocolate.

Finally, the sample making was completed, and the freshly baked Christmas series sparkled prominently in the kitchen. Everyone tried the samples together and was very confident with the quality of the new products.

Starting from November, it was the busiest season in the shop, and Nala and her colleagues were busy as bees. Despite this, Nala felt happy every day. She wanted to use her effort and enthusiasm to bring more sweetness and joy to this Christmas season.
